Children’s Church (during the sermon on Sunday mornings)

At Coit we think it’s important for people of all ages to worship together. That’s why the kids are with us during most of the morning worship service. Just before the song of preparation children in preschool through 5^th grade are called forward for a prayer of blessing before heading downstairs for their own worship time. In children’s church we sing along with a worship leader, have a snack, hear a story from Children’s storybook Bible, and respond to the story with wondering together and by drawing pictures of how the story touches our lives.  We also spend time praying for each other.

One of the neat things about children’s church at Coit is that it allows kids get to know many of the leaders of our church. The rotating leadership team includes all of Coit’s elders and many of the deacons!  We are grateful to God for a pastor and consistory that cares deeply about nurturing the faith of God’s youngest disciples!
